Matthijs Keuper

I'm an applied physicist and have worked on LED systems and optics since 1996, at Philips, Lumileds and my own company Invisua. Through Keuper Innovations I now work as an independent consultant, on long projects and on short questions.

What I do

• System architecture and product development

  Taking a product from concept to production, and making the choices that are hard to change later.

• LED and optics problems

  Design reviews, field-failure analysis and spectral or optical modelling.

• Technical due diligence

  An independent technical opinion for investors, on hardware, optics, lighting, horticulture and clean energy.

• Test and measurement automation

  Software and hardware that make lab measurements repeatable, from LED calibration to a fully automated light lab.

I'm also available for expert-network calls, and as a fractional CTO or interim technical lead.

  One modular platform for a wide range of spectra and power levels, built on a single production line in the Netherlands.

  Invisua, tunable LED lighting for retail

  I founded Invisua and ran it for ten years. We made tunable LED lighting for shops, with our own LED modules, colour algorithms, optics and software.

  System architecture, technical strategy and test protocols for the Fortimo LED downlight platform.

• Early high-power LEDs at Philips Lumileds

  Philips Lumileds · 1996 – 2007

  The first high-power LEDs, LED traffic light optics, illumination-grade white LEDs and projection light engines, including five years in San Jose.
