Technical due diligence

Typical duration: One to three weeks.

For VC and PE investors I look at the technology behind a deal. Does it work as claimed, can it be manufactured at the stated cost, and what are the risks that a pitch deck does not show.

Fields I know well: hardware, optics, LED lighting and horticultural lighting. I can also look at clean energy hardware.

I have been on the other side of the table too. At Invisua I raised €3M from investors over several rounds, so I know what a team goes through in a due diligence process.
